DREAMS BEFORE DAWN 2019

Matthieu LeLoup Bellon proudly announces the return of Dreams Before Dawn Festival at the Theatre De Menilmontant, celebrating its 5th Anniversary of bringing together emergent theatre makers from the UK, Europe and beyond! The festival warmly invites artists and companies from all disciplines to register their interest in having their work featured in the 2019 festival programme in Paris.
Growing from the success of the last five years, Dreams Before Dawn 2019 will be our biggest and boldest, anticipating over 30 artists and/or companies preforming over 90 performances as well as residencies from theatre practitioners offering laboratory workshops over the course of the week-long festival. Taking place at the Theatre De Menilmontant, the festival boasts three performance spaces, the largest and most dynamic being the Theatre XXL, the small and intimate Theatre XL and the experimental studio space, the Labo. Alongside the three performance spaces, the festival also provides several rehearsal spaces for workshops and warming up!
Our aim is to celebrate and consolidate the European spirit of collaboration, communion and cultural diversity that in recent years is being threatened by exclusion and hatred. In support of this we aim to provide a supportive and creative environment for emergent theatre-makers from all over the world to encounter, experiment, discuss and develop new work that embraces the true spirit of European theatre making!
This year we aim to programme emergent companies and artists, as well as graduate companies and laboratories of theatre from across the UK and Continental Europe.
